our wines
We grow a dozen grape varieties, traditional varieties as well as local specialities. The most important is Sauvignon Blanc which has been our key grape variety from the beginning. We also grow its local cousin Sauvignon Gris which here we call Fie Gris, as well as Chardonnay for our sparkling wines. In terms of red grapes, the main varieties grown are Pinot Noir and Cabernet

Ampelidae is the story of three parts : firstly Frederic Brochet the founder, the Meuli family who joined him to support the development of the domaine, and a group of winegrowers from the Vienne who share the same vision.
